What Everyone Should Know About Adoption

Emily Hoxie, APSW, adoption counselor at Adoption Choice, Inc., will present an interactive discussion about adoption on Tuesday, June 25, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Verona Public Library. Topics will include adoption language and appropriate terms, and types of adoption, including open and closed adoptions. Emily will discuss adoptive parents, who they are and why they adopt, and birth parents, who they are and why they place for adoption. She will also talk about home studies and Wisconsin adoption laws. This presentation is free and open to the public.
