The Assistant Executive Director is responsible for providing professional and quality person centered care for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of Dementia to promote their highest well-being. The Assistant Executive Director is also responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and state regulations at all times.
Administrative and Operations Management
- Ensures compliance with state community based residential facility regulations and Azura policies
Care Planning Assessment and Implementation
- Monitor the health and emotional conditions of each resident
- Work with nursing staff and aides to ensure resident medical needs are met including med passing, proper hydration and toileting, bathing, and laundry
- Perform assessment of new residents; admit and discharge residents according to admissions criteria
- Complete individual care plans for each resident with interdisciplinary team and ensure service delivery according to individual residents’ needs
Personnel Management
- Maintain master staffing schedule and find replacements for staff call-in’s
- Lead by example, encourage teamwork, and provide coaching and supervision to employees. Perform disciplinary discussions with staff as needed
- Ensure the health and safety of residents with regular training, drills and equipment reviews
- Work with housekeeping staff to manage the appearance, cleanliness and environment of the building
- Coordinate and perform ongoing training of staff

Requirements:
- Bachelor/associate degree preferred
- A minimum of 2 years of related work experience in assisted living or long-term care
- Flexibility with scheduling- full time day shift, may include night and weekend fill ins
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
